Building and Other Attractions
The Mackinaw Area Historical Society's Heritage Village, located just west of Mackinaw City, has several beautiful historical buildings on its 43-acre site, including a one-room school house and a 1900 pestilence house. There are also three major projects in the process of restoration or replication. Also of interest are a vintage base ball field, a 3/4 mile interpreted nature trail, and a kitchen garden, now a community garden.
