Soo Locks Saw

The Soo Locks has given this century-old saw to MAHS. This saw was in use as recently as the 2007-8 winter.

This saw has a 5-foot blade and can handle timbers 24 feet long.

It cut all of the oak timbers that line the locks.

The saw has been delivered to the historic site with the use of two low-boys and a dump truck. A team of volunteers will construct a building to house the saw in the summer of 2009.
