Monthly Historic Programs

Join us on the second Monday of each month (except December) as MAHS presents an interesting array of speakers who will keep the audience spellbound with presentations on the ferries that crossed the Straits, local Native-American tribe’s involvement in the Civil War, officers who served at Michilimackinac, boat building, Huron Street and Central Avenue at the turn of the 20th century and other exciting depictions of the history of our region.

Programs are currently held in the meeting room at the Mackinaw Area Public Library, located about ½ mile west of the stoplight at Nicolet and Central on the north side of the road.

Programs are at 7:30 p.m. and there are always plenty of opportunities to talk with the speaker one on one as you enjoy a cup of coffee and some sweet treat with fellow history mavens.

Watch this site for complete information on our monthly speakers.

In March, instead of the monthly speaker, we host our annual Cabin Fever Dinner at St. Anthony's Parish on Central Avenue. For more information see the separate section on the dinner.
