Historic Heritage Chapel for Your Wedding or Life Event Celebration

Heritage Village is home to historic buildings operated by Mackinaw Area Historical Society in partnership with the Village of Mackinaw City.  Heritage Village provides a unique Northern Michigan setting for your wedding or vows renewal.  Heritage Village is located on the west side of Mackinaw City and represents the period from 1880 - 1917.  The 142 acres offer a peaceful natural setting.  The beautiful and fully renovated historic Chapel has seating for approximately 80 and is handicap accessible.  There is a Pavilion on the grounds that is covered and has picnic tables and benches for approximately 75 people.   The Stimpson Homestead is the perfect place for the bridal party to prepare for the ceremony. The fully restored chapel was built in 1897, used until 1960, and moved to Heritage Village in 2010.    Stained glass windows, brand new pine floors, and pews that match the originals all make for a unique experience.   We have hosted weddings, vows renewals, and memorial services in the rededicated chapel.  Parking is close to the building.
