On Saturday, December 5, step into the historic setting of Heritage Village for a special afternoon of Christmas traditions, community spirit, and seasonal charm. Visit the beautifully decorated Heritage Chapel, attend a traditional Christmas service beginning at 2 PM, enjoy holiday treats, and capture a few festive photos along the way.
With historic surroundings and the possibility of a picturesque Northern Michigan winter, Christmas in the Village offers a welcoming way to slow down, celebrate the season, and make memories with family, friends, and neighbors.
Whether you're a longtime local, a seasonal resident, or visiting Mackinaw City for the holidays, we invite you to share in this special community celebration.

The decorated Heritage Chapel is the heart of Christmas in the Village. Join the traditional Christmas service at 2 PM, take time to appreciate the seasonal decorations, and enjoy the simple pleasures of a gathering that brings people together during one of the year's most meaningful seasons.
Docents will help bring the historic setting to life, offering visitors a connection to the people, places, and stories that make the Mackinaw area special. Enjoy holiday treats, take festive photographs, and experience the charm of Heritage Village at Christmastime.
It's an opportunity to celebrate Christmas while connecting with the history and community spirit of Northern Michigan.

Christmas in the Village is hosted by the Mackinaw Area Historical Society, a volunteer-powered, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Mackinaw area.
Heritage Village brings local history to life through its historic buildings, educational experiences, and community events. The continued care of these resources depends on the generosity of people who believe our shared history is worth preserving.
While admission to Christmas in the Village is free, donations help sustain MAHS and support its preservation and educational work.
